The Association of Professional Art Advisors (APAA) has selected a Ledger Drawing by Oliver Good Shield (Oliver Newton) as one of twenty-five exceptional works of art available to collect for under $25,000 from Frieze Viewing Room. Shown by Donald Ellis Gallery, the image depicts a Lakota man and woman mounted on their horses, rendered with careful attention to details of dress and personal adornments. Presented by Commonwealth & Council, Carmen Agote reports that Good Shield’s works 'tell the story of Native American life beyond Wounded Knee.' Beyond historical documents, they 'are now considered complex works of Art that illustrate and reflect the final decades of nomadic life on the Plains.'
