The Audain Art Museum

In March 2016 the Audain Art Museum will open in Whistler, BC. Michael Audain and his wife Yoshi Karasawa have been important clients of Donald Ellis Gallery and are good friends. The museum, housed in a remarkable building designed by Patkau Architects, features the art of British Columbia, from the historic work of the First Nations of the province through the 20th century. Also included is an exceptional group of paintings by Emily Carr, photographic works from the Vancouver School and an extraordinary collection of historic 18th and 19th century masks from the Northwest Coast.
